Ayesha Takia Azmi has been acting in Hindi films since the year 1986. Ayesha Takia was awarded an award called the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her performance in the film Taarzan The Wonder Car, the film that introduced her to the screen. Following that, she was featured in several popular movies like Paathshaala 2010. Wanted and 2009's Salaam-E-Ishq 2007 and Socha Na Tha 2010. Her first appearance was a commercial for the well-known diet drink Complan. The actress appeared in the defining commercial I'm a Complan boy I'm a Complan girl with Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor. In the remix song Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin her was also featured. Her popularity grew because of this success during Indian remixes. In the following months, she was receiving offers for Bollywood films. Takia was in the back of the release of Taarzan The Wonder Car, which had originally been planned for Socha Na Tha. However issues with production caused delays in its release. Ayesha displayed her moral character by expressing her disapproval of her father in the law Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party MP Abu Azmi on the punishment of the rape victim. When she participated in a PETA India campaign, she signed the public announcement that she is vegan. In 2006, she was in the top ten list of Attractive Women in India.
